PDF Imager
Application Software Download Free Windows
PDF Imager is a free, simple and lightning-fast desktop utility program to convert images and photos into Acrobat PDF documents. This program supports a wide range of image formats such as TWAIN and WIA scanners and digital cameras. The output PDF can be viewed, printed, archived or shared online. It can be configured to set images per page, image position (including stretch and fit), page size, security settings and viewer options.
Layers
With Version 1.5, Adobe added the concept of layers to the PDF specification. A layer is a section of content that can be hidden or displayed by document authors or viewers. This is useful for CAD drawings, layered artwork, maps and multi-language documents. A layer can also contain embedded objects such as hyperlinks, bookmarks and annotations. The original imaging model for PDF was, like PostScript, opaque: each object drawn on the page completely replaced anything previously marked in the same location. PDF 1.4 introduced transparency and allows new objects to interact with previously marked objects to produce blending effects.
Text and graphics in PDF can be copied and pasted into other document or image-editing programs on the user's computer. Text copy is preserved and editable, while graphic copies remain unmodified (although the color is lost). In Acrobat Reader DC, select Edit and then choose Copy or use the Ctrl+C keyboard shortcut on Windows or Command+C on Mac to copy the selected contents.
PDF supports multiple fonts and color spaces, including CMYK and RGB. It also allows embedded bitmaps or vectors. Bitmaps are pixels of fixed width and height, while vectors are paths constructed from a sequence of points. Vectors can be stroked, filled, or both and can include fill and stroke colors, gradients and patterns.
